Our mission is to bring a smile to your face when you view our creations and protect the environment by re-purposing old items, that otherwise, would be clogging up our landfills. We began our careers as grocery clerks. The re-negotiation of our contracts resulted in a significant pay cut which made us realize our future lay in other fields. Paul went back to school to train as a welder. Upon completion of his course, he went to work for General Dynamics in Groton, Connecticut where he worked on the construction of nuclear submarines. During his five years with them, he saw the launch of three ships he helped construct. After being laid off, he returned to Louisiana and worked on the construction of ships in New Orleans. Wanting to be closer to his family which lived in North Louisiana he gained employment with Willamette Industries. He continued to work after Weyerhaeuser Corp. bought them. Layoffs after fifteen years necessitated another change. He began a third career with Roseburg Forest products as maintenance planner. During most of his professional transitions, he utilized his welding skills to pursue what began as a hobby. He found creating whimsical creatures from recycled materials to be a great stress reliever. They became popular with family & friends. So this is how "Garden Delights" began.
