Building 429, Josh Wilson and Chris August come together for one night in Shreveport!
Grammy-nominated Building 429 has solidified its place as one of Christian music’s best-loved and most influential bands. The hit single “Where I Belong” became an anthem for today’s believers and was Billboard Magazine’s No. 1 Christian song of 2012. Their most recent album, Unashamed, produced another No. 1 single (“Impossible”) for the Dove Award winning band, and was named one of iTunes’ Top 10 Christian/Gospel albums of the year in 2015. Popular for their high-energy live shows, the band has performed before hundreds of thousands of fans and sold more than a million singles to date, while continuing to boldly carry a banner proclaiming their faith.
Texas-native Josh Wilson started taking piano lessons in fourth grade, learned guitar and drums in sixth and seventh grade, and fell in love with songwriting in college at Nashville’s Belmont University. Since signing his first record deal in 2006, he has become a staple at radio, amassing six Top 10 hits on Billboard’s Hot Christian Songs chart, including “That Was Then, This Is Now,” “Savior, Please,” “I Refuse,” “Fall Apart,” “Carry Me” and “Before The Morning,” which landed the No. 4 spot on Billboard’s 2012 Year-End Christian Songs chart. He’s toured with some of the Christian music’s biggest acts, and has been known to have as many as 20 instruments on-stage at any given time (and knows how to play all of them).
Since his debut in 2010, Chris August has been awarded three Dove Awards (Male Vocalist of the Year, Pop/Contemporary Album of the Year, New Artist of the Year) and released three No. 1 radio singles. His third and most recent project, The Maker, released to critical acclaim in 2015.
