Alla Baltas was born and raised in Ukraine where she was heavenly influenced By her farther who himself was an artist. She began painting at a very early age. Alla began to formally study art at Kharkov State Art School in Ukraine. While enrolled in art school Alla also spent time outside studying the technique of oil paintings. She leaned much about the history and development of art at the Hermitage Museum and Russian Museum of Art both located in Saint Petersburg Russia. Alla got her masters degree in painting in 1998 from Kharkov University Of Art Alla moved to Baton Rouge in 20004 where she feel in love with Southern culture which inspired her to use her artistic ability to create art exemplifying southern life Alla described her woks as abstract expressionism or impressionism Her primary and preferred medium is oil paint. Alla’s paintings direct and intuitive are rich and beautiful textured explorations of the emotive qualities of color and light. Her landscape and cityscapes based in impressionism. The result is an astonishing varied body of work that skillfully blends the viewpoints of all three genres She drawn to the way realism and abstraction merge in the landscape. And at some point the paint itself, its texture, color and form takes on the life of it own and becomes an equal partner in the artist life. Alla represent Southern life and living in her paintings. Ultimately Alla hope is that her painted compositions inspire wellbeing and gratitude where ever it displayed, thereby becoming larger than life.
