You have three opportunities to help make the Revel a success: contribute financially, volunteer your time, or make both happen – any and all contributions are greatly appreciated!
Exactly what happens when you give money to the Revel or volunteer your time? First and foremost, donated funds allow us to continue our Hospital Residency program, where we bring the Revel to people who cannot physically make it to the site due to illness, injury, or other medical circumstances. Second, volunteering your time ensures that the Revel continues to educate students via the Arts and that it will remain a part of the Shreveport community for years to come.
How does the Revel impact the community?
The Revel pays out, on average, over $450,000 annually in commissions to local non-profit and for-profit organizations who, in turn, use part of it to pay supply costs, equipment rentals, and/or labor, which is putting money back into our local economy. Net profits for the non-profit organizations went to programs they implement, resulting in a indirect economic for the community.
The Revel puts people to work! Last year the Revel paid over $120,000 employing security personnel, clean-up crews, stage support, and general operational support.
The Revel supports the performing Arts by contracting performances by local and regional acts to the tune of $80,000.
