Aidan McFarland Photography

I specialize in Photography

Check out my website!

My name is Aidan McFarland and I am a 17 year old photographer from Shreveport Louisiana. I will be a junior this year at Caddo Magnet High School where I am a member of Key Club, National Honor Society, the International Thespian Foundation, Caddo Magnet Players and more.

Since I was a young boy I have loved photographing things around me, especially in Shreveport. As an elementary student I won my first photography competition at the school level in the second grade.  Since then I have won over 20 awards and trophies at the school, parish, state, and national level as well  as winning in the adult photography contest with the Shreveport Times in 2017, the Louisiana State Fair and more.  My photography has won at the school level at the Louisiana State competition for my age group four times in 2015, 2018, 2019 and 2020. My photographs have won the best student photograph runner up in America in 2018, 2020 and the best photograph in the nation in 2015.

I have been actively showing my photography online and in galleries, businesses, and shows since 2016. I have shown my photography at festivals like Piano in the Park Art Show at Provenance Neighborhood, the Bossier Night Market, The Ruston Peach Festival, multiple times at the The Shreveport Downtown Artwalk, The Norsworthy Gallery and at several local businesses and restaurants in Shreveport.   In 2019 I was the youngest person to have their own booth at the Red River Revel where I won the Artist Merit Award my first year.

I enjoy photographing my world around me from Yosemite National Park, to Zion National Park, to the French Quarter in New Orleans, but my favorite place to photograph is in my hometown of Shreveport.  For more information and to see some of my other work, please visit my website at www.aidanmcfarland.com
