Originally a photographer by trade, my inspiration comes from nature and how indigenous peoples use what is available to them to create and adorn themselves. I started first working with bamboo, making my own beads that are the basis for my entire collection. I have developed my own methods for cutting, shaping and coloring bamboo and bone, as well as creating the tools to accomplish this. Recently I have begun to make a marriage of bamboo and metal. I hold the patent for my single earring design, the Earspear which is a tribal inspired two piece ear adornment for both men and women.
