Fireworks & Drone Show
The Fireworks and Drone Show takes place on October 8th and celebrates 50 years of the Independence Bowl and Red River Revel, with support from the City of Shreveport. Taking place in the Chase Main Stage area immediately after the Cowboy Mouth performance, this event is perfect for families with kids out of school on Fall Break!

SQUONK
Joy Machine is Squonk’s newest large-scale outdoor spectacle, powered by audience participation. Featuring live music, giant visual inventions, and hands-on interaction, audiences help animate puppets, play a massive drum wall, and power the action. Every performance is unique, transforming the public space into a joyful celebration of collective creativity and play.

Trout Fishing In America
Keith and Ezra are true road dogs, driving tens of thousands of miles each year to bring audiences joy. Now in their 50th year, it is not unusual for three or four generations of a family to show up at a Trouts concert. As a special treat for the Revel’s favorite and most reprised pair of performers, the band will be playing at least one set on a different stage every day of the festival. Check the music lineup page for their daily slots. From big moments on the Chase Stage to more intimate ones on the Swepco Art Alley Stage, see the Trouts pull from their extensive catlogue of songs that have delighted Revel audiences for genererations.

50 Year Reflection Art Exhibition
As the nation celebrates America 250, three organizations in Shreveport – the Independence Bowl, Red River Revel and Shreveport Regional Arts Council (SRAC) – celebrate 50 years, and the three legacy organizations have partnered to honor their history with 50-Year Reflection: A Historic Exhibit from August 22nd to October 9th at artspace. The milestone exhibit, curated by Bruce Allen, will take visitors through the storied history of all three organizations – celebrating the important people, pivotal moments and unforgettable memories of the past 50 years. Taking place at artspace at 708 Texas Street, the 50-Year Reflection will offer insight into how the Independence Bowl, Red River Revel and SRAC have been intertwined into Shreveport’s culture and helped shape the community.
